Siemens energy appoints Karim Amin as a new member of the Executive Committee

Recently, the supervisory board of Siemens Energy appointed Karim Amin as a member of the Executive Committee, which will take effect from March 1, 2022.

Karim Amin, 44, will succeed Jochen eickholt, 60. Johann eckholt will leave siemens energy as the new CEO of Siemens COMESA renewable energy, which holds a 67% majority stake. Karim Amin is currently the global executive vice president of siemens energy, responsible for the company’s power generation group business. In the future, he will be in charge of power generation group and energy industrial application group in the Executive Committee, and continue to directly lead the business of power generation group.
It is understood that Karim has held many management positions and has rich experience in service operation, sales and product management. He is currently in charge of siemens energy power generation group, which is the largest business group of the company, with about 26000 employees. Karim studied at Cairo University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and an MBA from Warwick School of business in the UK. Since the establishment of siemens energy, Karim has always been committed to continuously improving the performance of the power generation group.
