‘Made in China’ is accelerating towards’ Made in China ‘

The recently released “2022 Industrial Internet Platform Development Index” and “2022 China Cloud Computing Development Index” show that in 2022, the Industrial Internet platform development index will grow by 17% year on year, maintaining a growth rate of more than 15% for four consecutive years, and the industry cloud popularity continues to rise.

Industry insiders said that the rapidly growing data showed the vigorous vitality of Industrial Internet in recent years, and also reflected that “Made in China” is accelerating to “Made in China”, providing strong support for strengthening, optimizing and expanding the real economy.

Industrial Internet enters a period of rapid growth

The flexible waving and flipping of robotic arms, real-time monitoring and display of workshop operation on electronic signage, and 24-hour uninterrupted production in “black light factories”… Currently, more and more industrial enterprises are presenting such production scenarios.

The National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center recently released the “2022 Industrial Internet Platform Development Index” (hereinafter referred to as the “Index”), which is a “barometer” for observing the industrial development of Industrial Internet. Its data monitoring is connected with 62 Industrial Internet platforms across the country through public service platforms. It is calculated by using industrial equipment, industrial models and industrial APPs, developers and service enterprises as key indicators, covering 41 industrial categories of raw materials, equipment, consumer goods, electronics and energy.

Data shows that in 2022, the development index of Industrial Internet platform will reach 251, with a year-on-year growth of 17.23%, maintaining a growth rate of more than 15% for four consecutive years. The number of industrial apps on key platforms has expanded to 2911000, an increase of 54.16% compared to 2021, entering a period of rapid growth.

Industrial Internet is becoming the key support for the transformation of China’s manufacturing industry from “Made in China” to “Smart in China”. The 14th Five Year Plan for Digital Economy Development proposes that by 2025, the popularization rate of Industrial Internet platform applications will rise to 45%. According to the data of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Industrial Internet has been fully integrated into 45 major categories of the national economy, and the industrial scale will reach 1.2 trillion yuan in 2022.

“As the key support and path of Digital transformation, the Industrial Internet has become increasingly active in the application of new technologies and the cultivation of new industries. In 2022, the enabling effect of the Industrial Internet platform will gradually highlight, and the number of service enterprises and regions will continue to expand.” Li Li, deputy director of the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center, said.

Through the cloud thermal index of the industry, it can also be seen that the Digital transformation of the manufacturing industry continues to deepen. The “2022 China Cloud Computing Development Index” recently released by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology shows that China’s cloud computing applications have expanded from the internet to traditional industries, with industrial cloud usage accounting for 11.6% in 2022.

The traditional industries represented by industry, government affairs, and finance are catching up in cloud usage. With the deepening of the concept of ‘using cloud data to empower intelligence’, the scale of cloud usage in related industries will continue to expand, “said Wei Liang, Vice President of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology.

The empowering and intelligent role of the industrial chain is obvious

At present, 35 key Industrial Internet platforms nationwide have connected more than 85 million sets of industrial equipment, serving 9.36 million enterprises in total, and the role of industrial chain empowerment and intelligence empowerment is increasingly prominent.

Shandong Huamei Biotechnology Co., Ltd., located in Pingyin County, Jinan City, is busy with the upcoming production season. A Industrial Internet connects the upstream and downstream industrial chains of rose production.

When purchasing rose raw materials, the procurement personnel scan the QR code and enter information such as flower harvesting level and quantity with one click, automatically generating a purchase order; In the drying and freeze-drying workshops, the numbers on the intelligent monitoring screen constantly jump, providing reference for intelligent production scheduling and personnel allocation; Production, processing, distribution and sales data are collected on the quality code platform, providing evidence for after-sales traceability

“With the Inspur Cloud Island Industrial Internet platform, we have achieved human-machine and object data interconnection. The efficiency of rose collection and settlement has increased by 90%, the efficiency of collaborative processing has increased by 30%, and the labor cost per unit production line can be saved by more than 100000 yuan every year.” Zhang Jifang, general manager of Shandong Huamei Biotechnology Co., Ltd., said that at present, more than 30 similar enterprises have access to the Industrial Internet platform, and the collaborative transformation of the industrial chain supply chain has accelerated.

From the perspective of the industrial chain supply chain, the index shows that industrial apps focus on production and operation links, and strengthening and supplementing the chain has become a new theme. In 2022, the total proportion of industrial apps in operation management, production manufacturing, and operation and maintenance services exceeded 64%.

Open cooperation has become an important way for the coordinated development of various industries, and the upstream and downstream collaboration of the industrial chain is closer. “Li Li said that under the influence of the global economic situation, the demand for enhancing external collaboration among enterprises has increased, and the demand for” strong chain replenishment “is strong. The number of supply chain management apps has increased by 51.1%, actively promoting the optimization of industrial chain and supply chain services, and improving guarantee capabilities.

From the perspective of enterprise development, digital and intelligent transformation has also brought about changes in improving quality and efficiency for enterprises. According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China has built over 2100 high-level digital workshops and intelligent factories, of which 209 are demonstration benchmark factories. After analyzing these 209 enterprises, it was found that the intelligent transformation shortened the product development cycle by 20.7%, increased production efficiency by 34.8%, reduced product defect rate by 27.4%, and reduced carbon emissions by 21.2%.

Continuously unleashing the driving force for upgrading the manufacturing industry

Looking forward to the next step, many parties are actively deploying to accelerate the large-scale development of Industrial Internet, promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and constantly release the impetus for industrial upgrading.

This year’s Report on the Work of the Government proposed that “vigorously develop the digital economy”, “accelerate the Digital transformation of traditional industries and small and medium-sized enterprises, and strive to improve the high-end, intelligent, and green level”.

Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Jin Zhuanglong, stated that China has a large industrial economy and the second largest digital economy in the world, with broad prospects for integrated development. We will focus on breakthroughs in digital technology innovation and application expansion, and increase the integrated development of informatization and industrialization.

Among them, in vigorously promoting the Digital transformation of the manufacturing industry, we will study and develop a roadmap for Digital transformation of key industries, and cultivate a number of Digital transformation benchmarks. Deepen the integrated application of “5G+Industrial Internet”, promote the application of Industrial Internet to industrial parks, and build a batch of 5G fully connected factories. Build a group of globally leading smart factories and smart supply chains.

The top-level design has been continuously improved, and all regions have taken “measures” to promote the Digital transformation of the manufacturing industry: Jiangxi will accelerate the improvement of the innovation driving force of platforms such as the National Virtual Reality Innovation Center; Guangdong plans to promote the technological transformation of 9000 industrial enterprises, promote the Digital transformation of 5000 industrial enterprises above the designated size, and drive 100000 small and medium-sized enterprises to “go to the cloud and use the cloud” by 2023; Anhui plans to build 100 provincial Digital transformation typical demonstration projects every year from 2023, with the highest award and subsidy of 5 million yuan for projects listed in the typical demonstration

“The new generation of information technology resonates with the development of manufacturing industry at the same frequency, and is expanding the broad prospect of integration and innovation, enabling more industries, and high-quality development glows with vitality.” Li Li said that the next few years will be a critical period for the development of China’s new round of industrial revolution core technologies, such as “Industrial Internet” and “intelligent manufacturing”, and “Made in China” will usher in leapfrog development.
